The first thing we would like to say is that Malta should be on everyone’s bucket list. With that being said, we can’t believe that we’ve never thought of coming here until this summer.
The European country of Malta is an archipelago in the Mediterranean, situated between the North Coast of Africa and the island of Sicily. It incorporates a fascinating blend of historical sites, ancient architecture, and a breathtaking coast line with high cliffs and pristine blue water. Malta is so diverse that we recommend more than just a few days to explore her beauty.
We didn’t have to think twice, everything sounded more than perfect and we quickly booked our flights. After having an unforgettable experience staying at Corinthia Hotel Lisbon ( read here ) choosing a place to stay was easy for us. We knew that they had another property in Malta, Corinthia Hotel St. George’s Bay and we couldn’t have been more thrilled to experience their other gem.
Nestled in St. George’s Bay is where guests can indulge in supreme luxury and comfort with sublime views of the crystal clear Mediterranean water, cascading pools and soak up the Maltese sun. For the adrenaline junky and the diving enthusiast, Corinthia St George’s Bay is the absolute five-star destination with many fun activities to choose from the Sun & Fun water sports and Yacht center or Starfish Diving School. There are many options such as jet ski rentals, para-sailing, banana rides, canoe and paddle boat rentals, self-drive speed boats, private boat and yacht rental as well as the new and exciting flyboarding. To capture all your memories forever you can borrow a GoPro complimentary and record your unforgetable adventures.
It’s only 25 minutes from the international airport and 10-15 minutes from the scenic capital Valletta where the hotel provides a free shuttle to and from. We used the helpful and very friendly concierge to rent a car and explore the coast, we highly recommend this.
Corinthia St. George’s Bay has everything for everyone and you are most definitely assured to have nothing but the best in both service and fun. Not only did we enjoy lounging at the pools, watching sunsets at the Lido while dipping in the crystal clear water but we were happily surprised by the hotel’s lush gardens and to find a 16th century tower right within the hotel grounds.
We were so pleased with our deluxe sea view room that it was hard to leave. The room was cozy and had everything you could possibly need including our own private balcony where we watched the breathtaking Maltese sunsets. Free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TV with cable and satellite, tea and coffee-making facilities, minibar are some the amazing amenities in the room. Most importantly the room was very spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable which helped us feel even more rested.
Corinthia St. George’s Bay offers a high variety of dining experiences to choose from, eight restaurants and three bars. The breakfast buffet had options for everyone’s taste to enjoy and a great choice of fruit for us being vegan. With all the fabulous and award winning dining options it was hard leaving the hotel and eat elsewhere. The service was impeccable which made our experience even more gratifying.
Another favorite part that we enjoyed during our stay at Corinthia St. George’s Bay was the night time views with all the twinkling lights.
One of the things that really impressed us by the Corinthia Hotels are the grand entries with imposing lobbies and remarkable service.
Our stay at the Corinthia St. George’s Bay wouldn’t be complete without a visit to their Spa. Consisting of extensive choices of therapies, massage, indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna you are guaranteed to spoil yourself and unwind in a true relaxed state of mind. A new feature to the Apollo Spa is Ayurveda – the world’s oldest and most comprehensive system of natural therapies.
After spending three wonderful nights at Corinthia Hotel St. George’s Bay the only regret we had was not having enough time. The remarkable service from the friendly and hospitable staff contributed to our memorable stay. Once again we are touched and impressed by the consistency of how they exemplify the quality of sophisticated luxury.
