Domes Noruz – A luxury masterpiece in Crete

After visiting some of the most beautiful islands – Paros, Mykonos, Ios, Milos, Santorini, our last stop on our one month adventure in Greece was Crete. Crete is the largest island in Greece and it captivates with wild natural beauty, pristine beaches, steep gorges, rich history, exquisite cuisine and friendly people. Our week there started with an extraordinary stay at the fabulous adults-only hotel DOMES NORUZ.

Situated on the northern coast of Crete, just a few minutes away from Chania, this hotel adds a new level of luxury to the beautiful landscapes of the island. This boutique hotel embraces contemporary and exclusive design mixed with top-notch service creating a well-deserved award-winning masterpiece.

One of the highlights of Domes Noruz is the magnificent, ultra trendy design that has won them architectural awards from the moment it opened doors. We were fascinated by the creativity and the attention to details. Everything is thoughtfully made in symmetrical balance through shape, pattern, texture, natural colors, wood, and accents of light blue to create this meticulous and luxurious design.

The ambiance and the surroundings are perfect for your ultimate relaxing and romantic vacation. From the moment we arrived, we were in constant awe not only by the design but by the outstanding hospitality and service. All the suites have either an outdoor jacuzzi, plunge pool or private pool and are exquisitely decorated in typical greek architecture with natural shades and splashes of blue. The furniture is chic, modern and comfortable to ensure you can relax and enjoy your stay.

The main restaurant at Domes Noruz is Zeen, and it serves delicious food all day from breakfast to dinner. The location and the setup of the restaurant are just perfect, and you can’t beat this gorgeous sea view. The decor is as expected super stylish and modern, as well as very comfy and inviting. Dining at Zeen is an experience itself. We, as vegans, were very pleased by the variety of options we had to eat. The breakfast buffet was one of the best we’ve seen with plenty of healthy choices. We must say that they have one of the most delicious vegan burgers we have ever eaten around the world. It was so good that we ate it every single time. The chef is incredibly talented and it will accommodate any dietary restrictions you may have. We were very impressed.

Your stay in Domes Noruz won’t be complete without a visit to the Soma Spa. There you can choose from a variety of treatments and immerse yourself into a purely relaxing and zen state of mind. Before your appointment, you can enjoy the heated pool, the hammam bath, sauna or jacuzzi.

For those of you who love staying in shape even when you are on vacation, Domes Noruz has a gym open 24/7. Also available are yoga, pilates, personal training or TRX.

The hotel has everything you will need for your perfect vacation, and it will be hard to leave, but we highly recommend putting on your exploring shoes and go out on an adventure one day. There are some amazing beaches around that are an absolute must and would leave you speechless and make your holiday even more unforgettable. Our two favorite are Seitan Limania and Balos Beach.
