One Love Our Love

Salt Milos – The Essence of Luxury

If you are wondering where to go for your next summer getaway, we have the perfect place for you. How about a Mediterranean vacation in the Greek Islands? Sounds like a dream, doesn’t it?

There are few places in the world that we would go back to anytime in a heartbeat and one of them is Greece. When you think of Greece, most of you know the more popular and touristy islands of Santorini and Mykonos. This is totally fine, they are both amazing and have to be seen. But what if we tell you, that there’s an island worth visiting even more than those? That’s right, there are less known islands in the Cyclades that would blow your mind and one of them is Milos. We are saying this after visiting 6 islands this past May and want to let you know that Milos is hands down our favorite Greek island so far. Milos is an unspoiled volcanic island and one of the best-kept secrets in the Aegean sea but has so much more to offer than its more popular competition.

One of the exciting parts about Milos is where to stay. You have many options from Airbnb’s, hotels, villas but we have the best luxury place for you, SALT MILOS.

SALT MILOS

Getting to Salt Milos it’s easy, you have two options – take a ferry or fly. Salt Suites and Executive Rooms is located on the north part of the island in the most charming town of Pollonia. We spent three incredible days there but honestly, we could have easily stayed a week or two. It’s one of the best luxury boutique hotels where we’ve stayed. It’s only a 15 min drive from the main town Adamas where all the ferries arrive, and if you need a transfer Salt Milos will be happy to arrange a taxi for you. We definitely recommend renting a car to go around the island and explore. Milos has some of the most beautiful beaches that are must-see like Sarakiniko, Kleftiko, Papafragas, Firiplaka and many more.

One of the things that makes Salt Suites Milos so unique is the astonishing view. The hotel is right by the water at the end of the road and provides the perfect secluded atmosphere for you to unwind and soak into the true vacation state of mind. In the meantime, it’s only a few minutes walk to Pollonia town where all the restaurants and shops are.

The building is in traditional Cycladic style, all white with wood accents. We stayed at the Kleftiko Seaview suite and we felt like home. The design is modern and comfortable, incredibly chic and with attention to details. We were in constant awe, and we couldn’t believe how amazing everything is. They have put so much love into their place. The patio is where we spent most of our time admiring the spectacular performance of Mother Nature and we experienced some unforgettable sunsets. We had a private jacuzzi with an ocean view. How can you beat this?

We love the idea of breakfast being served in your suite. You simply choose your food from a list the night before, and in the morning you have it delivered to you at your desired time. The delicious breakfast comes fresh in a wooden box and you can enjoy it either in bed or on your patio while admiring the stunning sea view.

If there’s one thing we wish we could have done differently is to stay longer. We spent one absolutely unforgettable getaway at Salt Milos and we can’t say enough how much we loved everything. Now, being back home in California we are happily reminiscing about our stay there and planning to come back again next year or maybe even in the fall. We hope that we inspire you to visit this wonderful gem in Greece and if you have any questions, please write it in the comments below.
