One Love Our Love

Ursulino Valletta – epitome of modern luxury

Where warm hospitality, clean lines, comfortable and welcoming design meets subtle sophistication, you have a masterpiece.

One of the best traveling decisions we’ve made lately was coming to Malta. Not only were we joyfully surprised of its charisma but we are already planning to return. Being a Southern European destination, Malta is so much more than an island of sunny beaches, it’s like no other place we’ve been before.

While there are definitely wonderful beaches and the most famous and astonishing Blue Lagoon, we fell in love with the uniquely charming capital city Valletta. With its meticulous grid of cobblestone narrow streets, spectacular churches, fascinating Baroque style buildings, Valletta is a true architectural masterpiece.

One of its treasures and what made our stay even more special and unforgettable is the Luxury Boutique Hotel, Ursulino Valletta. It is located perfectly in the heart of the city but on a nice and quiet street, facing the monastery of St Ursula. This exclusive family-run B&B hotel was formerly a 20th-century traditional family house, now reinvigorated and living a new life. Ursulino Valletta is the epitome of graceful elegance and modern luxury.

The Rooms

Ursulino Valletta offers five beautifully designed rooms and two exceptional suites with immaculate attention to detail. It’s guaranteed that you will enjoy the cozy intimacy and immerse into a blissful and relaxing stay. The design of the rooms adds a new level of luxury for this amazing B&B boutique hotel. Clean lines, comfortable, welcoming and subtle sophistication are our definitions of the style at Ursulino. The color palette of black, gray, white and the bold accent of mustard yellow makes the perfect contemporary look. A great character of the hotel is the Maltese floor tiles which exemplify the uniqueness of the place.

The ground floor deluxe room offers a direct access to a private enclosed private courtyard which we really enjoyed. The main feature of the yard is the traditional Maltese arched windows (hnejjiet).

The triplex penthouse suite was created to be your luxurious “home away from home”. It is designed on three levels with a sleeping area, a fully-equipped kitchen, and a glass-floored dining level overlooking your own private terrace. Here comes the best part, the terrace has the most spectacular 180-degree views of Grand Harbour.

The Exceptional Service

What made our stay at Ursulino Valletta deeply memorable, meaningful, and we can’t stop bragging about was the immaculate hospitality and personalized service. Although a boutique hotel, Ursulino has 5-star standards and truly exceeded our expectations and touched our hearts.

From the moment we arrived, we felt the warmth and welcoming energy from every staff member. We were so thrilled that they went above and beyond to accommodate our vegan diet and made sure we had plenty of options for breakfast. From freshly squeezed juice and fruits to delicious chia seed pudding, just to name a few. One of the best parts about breakfast is the location, the rooftop terrace. The dreamy views will leave you speechless and will help you forget that time exists.

The Rooftop

It is hard to choose one favorite thing about Ursulino Valletta because everything was splendid indeed. Although, we can’t lie about how much we loved watching the sunset every night while enjoying the Ursulino Sunset Aperitivo sessions. Every night between 6-8pm guests are welcomed with a complimentary glass of Champagne or Prosecco with Italian prosciutto, salami, and a selection of cheeses or veggie snacks respectfully for us. It was very special in an unforgettable way to soak up the breathtaking views of this unique city.

I want to visit Malta so bad! Since I’m a visual person, I really appreciate all of the well composed photos to pair with the narrative. The rooftop looks amazing, and what a way to watch the sun go down than to be up there with champagne and prosciutto!

I envy you for having the opportunity to stay in this luxurious place. It is really stunning! If my boyfriend and I would be given a chance to stay there, I might not wish to go back home. It is like you have found a paradise in there.

Wow! That’s a stunning hotel. I’m yet to explore Malta. I’m sure to stay here when I visit this hotel. I’m a fan of heritage hotels, so to be in a renovated 20th C house, this would be perfect. The view from the ceiling looks just impeccable!
